180 Days of Boasting about God – Day 81

There is one characteristic about God that I love but don’t always fancy.

No child likes to be punished, reprimanded, or chastised. But it is absolutely necessary for correction and growth. A parent punishes, repramds, or chastises their child(ren) out of love.

Good parents will not see their child(ren) doing the wrong thing and not teach them what’s right.

God is a good parent. He is described as the “good good Father”.

He will tell me when I’m wrong and what I need to do/not do to make it right. He will prompt me to forgive or seek forgiveness when the need arises. He will remind me that being petty doesn’t glorify him.

He does all these seemingly negative (but actually positive/valuable) acts out of his love for me.
