We can’t escape God’s Word
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.
Hebrews 4:12-13 MSG
“A promise is a comfort to a fool”, says the worldview. However, we see God making promises to us regarding eternal life, and earthly life. Are we fools? Is God up to no good?
Nope. His word will stand forever. His promises are true. Joshua 21:45 says that every good thing that God promised came to pass, not one failed.
Heb 4:3-7 references Gen 1 which speaks of God resting on the 7th day because he had completed his work.
Basically, from the 7th day of creation, God had already finished his design for my life. By the 7th day of creation, the promises he made to me during the course of my life now, were already packaged and placed one side with my name on it.
Heb 4:13 tells me that, no matter what, I can’t get away from God’s word. In essence, once I remain steadfast and live by faith, I will never miss/lose one promise made to me.
Prayer: I will continue to have faith in God and the promises he made to me. God’s words will never return to him void, but they shall accomplish his will in my life. Your promise still stand, great is your faithfulness.
